Educative system and student life

During our last conversation, Kathleen and I compared our student life and educative system in each country. We talked about private school and public school. In California, you have more benefits to going in private school and it's mostly rich people who go there. In France, a lot of private schools are religious and there have often a better level than public schools. It's also more expensive to study in private school. Then we compared school program. In France, it's the same programme for all the schools but in USA, each district can have its own program.

 We have different student life. Kathleen drive one hour to go to university and she had to leave her home early because of the traffic and it's difficult to find a parking space. She doesn't live near to the university because it's expensive and she prefers to live with her mother. In Bordeaux I have 20 minutes by tram to go to school.
She have more homework than me. All weekend, her teachers give her a lot of homework. In our school, we just have to learn lessons for the tests, we just have homework in English lessons. In consequences Kathleen doesn't have a lot of time to going out but the last weekend was special because she went at the concert of  Cold War Kids and I'm jealous of her ! I hope she had enjoyed !
